The Killers Played at Madison Square Garden

5 02 2009

I went to see the Killers at Madison Square Garden in January and it was an amazing concert. I had a great seat. The audience stood the whole time so I was sore by the end of the show but they made it all worth it. The band played all my favorites including “Mr. Brightside” and “Smile Like You Mean It.” They also played several of their new songs from their latest album “Day and Age” including “Human” and “Spaceman.” Brandon Flowers was a seasoned performer. If you look at older clips of their performances on Youtube, he appears ackward and unsure of himself and how to move his body. But since the first tour he’s grown tremendously as a performer. The drummer, Ronnie Vannucci, threw out 7 or 8 drumsticks to the audience members at the end of the show. If they hit any bad notes during the show, I couldn’t tell. One, because it was so loud, and two, because they rock! Some audience members were able to record parts of the concert. Here is a Youtube clip of the Killers performing “Human.”
